More spending lol

Yesterday I took a trip into Hobbie Craft and bought a lovely stamp called girl on the beach by Stamps happen Inc, I also picked up some adhesive Chipboard borders and some red plaid ribbon too. I originally went to see if they had the pine needle punch that I've been looking for, but no luck, I can't seem to get it anywhere :o(

Anywhooo!

Here is a card I made for my niece's birthday

I just love the way this turned out, I think the burgundy and green go really well together the image was again from PC Crafter

Artylicious backgrounds

I just love the beautiful effects created on the Artylicious CD's. Here is a card I made using the Butterfly Bliss CD and the image is from Laurie Furnell's May Flowers from PC Crafter.

On Friday I took a trip to Flawless Designs in Stirling with my sister and a friend. I have wanted to go there for a while now as I've seen some advertisements in my card magazines about them. They were having an open day and had various different techniques being demonstrated. I went because one of the demo's was showing you how to make flowers using different punches. I am hoping to learn this new technique as there can be some beautiful flowers created by using some punches that you would never imagine. You can check out Jak Heath's A.K.A Crafters Kitchen blog and Joanne A.K.A Mainly Flowers blog as they both do some beautiful cards using this technique. Have a great day.

I decided to try a sketch

Today I decided to try one of Jen del Muro's Sketches today.

It's one of her earlier sketches but I love the layout, there are so many different possibilities with this one.

Here is my card:
Thanks for looking I'm off to get ready for work.

Mojo Monday Sketch 82

Today I decided to take part in the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge. Here is my card...

I couldn't seem to get proper focus on this card, so I decided to scan my card too.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great day!

I'm Finally Taking the Step!

I'm finally venturing into blogland!, I haven't a clue what I'm doing lol, so please bear with me while I figure this out (any tips will be gratefully received.)
I'm hoping to share my love of all things crafty, and in particular some of my cards.
Now let me introduce myself, my name is Margaret Okeke & I've been married to Peter for 4.5 years no kids yet but I do have my wee fur baby treacle, she's a wee darling. Here she is on the left.

I've been artsy/craftsy most of my life, starting from a young age when my Mum taught me how to knit and crochet, and then moved onto painting and drawing and then onto Crossstitch I also did some screen printing and photography (developing pics not taking them as you will soon discover) at college.

About 4 years ago my Mum sadly passed away with Leukemia and went home to be with the Lord, It was then I was first introduced to card making through my sister Sandra at a craft club in my church.
The church decided to start this club to help raise money for a new Cancer care centre that was opening at our local hospital.
I think this is the longest I have ever stuck to the one hobbie lol, Most of my cards are made from images from PC Crafter I just love this site, there are so many tallented designers here.
I can't stamp to save myself but I keep trying lol.
I plan to use this blog to share my cards, and photos with the hope that others may see something you like, and/ or that may inspire you.
Please Post a comment to let me know what you think.
